Trend Catcher – Nifty is a rules-based intraday advisory that waits for the market to show its hand, then gives one Buy and one Sell call with a fixed stop-loss, staged targets and a trailing exit. It is built for traders who value process over prediction.

The first hour of trade is the noisiest part of the Nifty session. Gap reactions, overnight global cues and opening orders create sharp swings that often reverse. Trend Catcher deliberately sits out this phase and builds its view only once the day's structure has formed.

Core beliefs

• Patience before participation. The opening range shows where buyers and sellers stand; the call is built on that evidence, not on guesswork.
• Both directions, one plan. The Buy and the Sell call together cover an up-trend day, a down-trend day and a reversal day. The market picks the direction; the trader only executes.
• Fewer trades, better trades. One attempt per direction removes revenge trading and over-trading – the two biggest destroyers of intraday capital.
• Protect first, profit next. Every call has a defined loss before it has a defined gain. The trailing stop locks in profits as the trend extends.
• Process over outcome. Single trades will lose. The edge comes from executing the same rules across many sessions.

This product is for you if you:

• Can place orders around 10:00–10:15 IST and monitor positions during the day

• Accept losing days as part of the system and will not move or remove a stop-loss

The day has five phases, and the subscriber acts in only three of them. The highlighted phase – the call release – is the only moment new information arrives.

A Trend Catcher trading day · 5 phases

• Pre-open (by 09:00): the desk reviews global cues, overnight levels and any event risk; subscribers check margin.
• Observe (09:15–10:00): the system reads the opening range, gap behaviour, volume and momentum. No positions are taken.
• Call release (10:00–10:15): one Buy and one Sell call go out together, each with entry trigger, single SL and staged targets.
• Entry window: a trade becomes live only when its trigger is crossed, up to the stated validity time.
• Manage and exit: the trailing SL takes over from Tgt1 onward; any open position is closed by 15:10 IST, well before the 15:30 close and broker auto square-off.

Every call carries the same seven fields, so a subscriber can act on it in under a minute. The two calls are released together as a pair.

Reading the call: the long trade activates only if price trades above the Buy level; the short trade activates only if price trades below the Sell level. If neither level is crossed before the validity time, there is no trade that day – and that is a valid outcome.

Call updates are sent for: trigger activated, each target achieved, trailing SL revised, SL hit, and final exit – so every subscriber has the same record.

The rules are few and non-negotiable. Results quoted for the product assume every rule below was followed.

• Enter only on trigger. Act only when price crosses the stated entry level. Do not anticipate the breakout or enter at a "better" price before trigger.
• One trade per direction, per day. Once the Buy call has been triggered – whether it ends in profit or loss – no second long trade is taken that day. The same applies to the Sell call.
• Maximum trades per day: 2 (one long, one short)
• Maximum stop-losses per day: 2
• Place the SL with the entry. The stop-loss order goes in at the same time as the entry, preferably as an SL-M or bracket order. It is never widened, removed or averaged against.
• No chasing. If price has already moved well beyond the entry level when you see the call (e.g. close to Tgt1), skip the trade. A missed trade costs nothing.
• Respect the validity time. If the entry is not triggered by the stated cut-off, the call lapses. Late entries have less time to reach targets.
• Both calls can trigger on the same day. On a reversal day the Buy call may stop out and the Sell call may then trigger (or vice versa). Each is treated as a separate, independent trade.
• Trail, don't guess. After Tgt1, exits are governed by the trailing SL framework, not by feel.
• Square off by 15:10 IST. Any open position is closed at market by 15:10 IST. Never convert an intraday call into a delivery or overnight carry.
• No trade on event-risk exceptions. On days flagged by the desk (e.g. Union Budget, RBI policy, election results, extreme gap openings), a call may be withheld or carry special instructions.

The trailing SL turns a winning trade into a protected trade. As each target is achieved, the stop moves up (for a Buy) or down (for a Sell) one step, so a reversal can never take back more than one stage of profit.

Worked example (Buy call above): entry 25,480, SL 25,420. Nifty reaches Tgt1 at 25,540 – SL moves to 25,480. It reaches Tgt2 at 25,600 – SL moves to 25,540. Price then reverses and the trailing SL at 25,540 is hit. The trade exits with +60 points, even though the full move was +120.

Key principles

• Trail stops only in the direction of profit – never back towards the original SL.
• Revise the SL order on the exchange immediately; a mental stop is not a stop.
• Partial booking is optional but recommended for lot sizes of three or more, as it balances certainty with trend capture.
• The desk may send a tighter trailing update near the close or on sharp volatility spikes; such updates override the default staging.

Lot size is the subscriber's decision, but it should come from a rule, not from confidence in the call. Size each trade so that a full stop-loss costs no more than a fixed slice of trading capital – typically 0.5% to 1%.

Risk guardrails for every subscriber

• Per-trade cap: 0.5%–1% of trading capital at risk.
• Daily cap: worst case is two stop-losses; ensure that total stays within 2% of capital.
• Drawdown pause: if capital falls 6–8% from its peak, halve position size until it recovers.
• Margin buffer: keep at least 30–40% free margin above the exchange requirement to absorb volatility and margin changes.
• Constant size: do not raise lots after a losing day to "recover" or after a winning streak out of confidence. Review size monthly, not daily.
• Option buyers: if trading the call through options, size by premium at risk and use the Nifty level of the SL as the exit trigger.

The system supplies the levels; the subscriber supplies the discipline. These ten commitments are what separate the product's results from an individual's results.

• I will not trade before the call is released.
• I will enter only when the trigger level is crossed.
• I will place my stop-loss with my entry, every time.
• I will never widen, cancel or average against a stop-loss.
• I will take only one trade in each direction per day.
• I will trail my stop as each target is achieved.
• I will skip a trade I have missed rather than chase it.
• I will close all positions by 15:10 IST.
• I will size every trade by my risk rule, not by my conviction.
• I will judge the system over months, not over one day.

Daily routine checklist

Every trading day falls into one of six patterns. The rules give a defined response to each, so no decision is left to emotion. Levels refer to the sample call pair above (Buy above 25,480 / Sell below 25,360, SL 25,420 for both).

Point outcomes are illustrations of the rules, not past or expected results.

Transparency is part of the product. Every call is logged and reported, winners and losers alike.

• Daily: end-of-day summary of both calls – triggered or not, exit level, points gained or lost.
• Monthly: report covering number of trading days, calls triggered, hit rate, average gain vs average loss (points), maximum consecutive losses and net points.
• Methodology: results computed on the stated entry, trailing exits and 15:10 square-off, before costs; any change in rules is disclosed with its effective date.

The metric that matters most is the reward-to-risk ratio (average winning trade ÷ average losing trade), not the hit rate. A trend-following system can be profitable with a modest hit rate when winners are allowed to run.

• Why wait 45–60 minutes after the open? The opening phase absorbs overnight news and gap orders and often reverses. Waiting lets the day's range and direction form before risk is taken.
• Why both a Buy and a Sell call? The system does not predict direction; it prepares for both. Whichever level the market breaks decides the trade.
• Can I take the Buy call again after it hits SL? No. One trade per direction per day. Re-entry is the most common route to over-trading.
• What if I see the call late? Enter only if price is still near the entry level and well short of Tgt1. Otherwise skip.
• Can I trade it in options? Yes, if option guidance is provided or you choose an at-the-money strike yourself. Use the Nifty levels for entry, SL and targets, and size by premium at risk.
• What if both calls trigger? Treat them as two independent trades. Your worst case for the day is two stop-losses – size for that.
• How many lots should I trade? Use the sizing formula above. We do not advise on individual lot size.
